RAIN in the Desert - Fantasy meets reality at Rain Nightclub, a 28,000 square foot playground created for adults only. Fourteen-foot fireballs light up an elevated dance floor as glistening bodies dance to a beat that is so contagious, the dancing water fountains struggle to keep up. Skyboxes, cabanas and water booths provide a more intimate affair for 8 – 15 guests. Reservations are required and should be made in advance. Rain Nightclub, doubles as Rain, the entertainment venue, with a list of past performers that include Kid Rock, Santana, Ozzy Osbourne, No Doubt, Seal, Nelly, Jay Z, Korn, Counting Crows, Live, Goo Goo Dolls, Pink, and Britney Spears who stunned the crowd with a surprise performance.
Ghostbar - True to its name, ghostbar feels as if it's hovering over Vegas, a world apart from the chaos below. Located on the 55th floor of the Palms, this club boasts a spectacular view of the Strip and much of the valley. But ghostbar is more than its view - it's a fun, hip spot to relax, enjoy a cocktail and listen to some great rock and hip-hop music. The room is perfectly rectangular and decked out with space-age bachelor-pad type furnishings. The crowd lounging on those funky silver sofas and chairs is as cool as the decor. You'll never feel more in touch with Vegas' intangible spirit as when you're standing on the transparent glass section of ghostbar's patio, looking straight down to the pool area hundreds of feet below. It's vertigo, sure, but it feels kind of good. Warning: if you're afraid of heights, you might want to indulge in one of ghostbar's cocktails before you try this.
Voodoo Lounge - located on the 51st floor of the Rio, has large windows providing a panoramic view of the Strip. The views can be enjoyed from inside the club, or, if the weather is nice, you can venture outside to the large balcony. Since the Rio is set back from the Strip on Flamingo Road, the vantage point is a great one. VooDoo Lounge is a fairly small, intimate club with dark colors, Southern decor and low lounge seating. The club has live music and dancing inside from 9 p.m. - 2:30 a.m. A DJ also often sets up on the balcony outside, which is a great place to dance the night away.
Tangerine - Tangerine Lounge & Nightclub brings a bit of burlesque to the bar top.
The club, located at Treasure Island, features beautiful bartenders and a bevy of burlesque dancers that hop on top of the bar and shimmy down from evening attire to lingerie. A live three-piece band including drums, stand-up bass and saxophone accompanies the performances, which take place three times per night. The decor and atmosphere at Tangerine match the funky, retro vibe created by the burlesque shows. The club is decorated in white and shades of orange. Fabrics draping the walls glow with orange light at night.
Empire Ballroom - The Empire Ballroom offers exciting Las Vegas Strip nightlife without having to go inside a casino. A dimly-lit entrance leads to a room decorated in rich reds and browns with overstuffed couches and soft candlelight. A massive crystal chandelier soars above the main room, which also features a stage. There are eight private cabanas on the upper balcony level, a candlelit VIP lounge and a deck with views of the Strip.
