They could have called this place "SEX" for the warm embrace of its urban modern Costa Rican Padouk wood interior and the sensual taste experience of its innovative menu. If you're in town for more than a weekend, you're going to eat here more than once. FIX is inside Bellagio and is the first restaurant venture of Andrew Sasson whose Light Group brought the wildly-successful Light nightclub and Caramel ultra lounge to Bellagio, and it kills. Our editorial board voted it Best New Spot for the Sea Bass with corn risotto and baby shrimp alone. But Executive Chef Brian Massie has created an American menu that demands you come with a large enough group so everyone can order something different and you can try them all. Here are some examples: "Ultimate Shell FIX," a shared dish with Maine lobster, Tiger Prawns, Seasonal Crab, Market Oysters and Clams; "Ahi 'Poke'," tuna with a mango-wasabi mojo and shrimp chips (only place in town that serves it); "Forks," another shared meal featuring tempura lobster, caviar and smoked salmon poppers; and, "Bobby Baldwin Burgers," named after the hotel's president, is a trio of Kobe Sliders. Open daily, Sunday-Thursday 5 PM to midnight, Friday-Saturday 5 PM to 2 AM. Reservations are strongly encouraged. |
