Circus Circus wins the kitsch competition, hands down. And unlike the fabulous 60s and 70s, this is no longer a contest every hotel in Las Vegas can enter. What hotel could possibly offer live circus acts that perform around the clock, an indoor theme park featuring the Canyon Blaster roller coaster, as well as a rotating cocktail lounge, a huge race and sports book, and a renowned poker room all under the same roof? Circus Circus is definitely a hotel that lives up to its name. It was built in 1977, and marketed as the first friendly facility for families who would rather not leave their kids in the parking lot.
