NEW TOP VEGAS HOT SPOT FOR 2010
Tropicana Las Vegas Hotel & Casino
3801 Las Vegas Blvd., South
Two words…Wayne Newton. It's fitting that "Mr. Las Vegas" is celebrating 50 years on the Strip at the legendary Tropicana. "Once Before I Go" is Wayne Newton's pre-historic new show that takes you on a deeply personal journey through his storied career and the rich history of entertaining Vegas—and the world. Complemented by a full orchestra and nostalgic photos and video, this interactive show promises lots of surprises and memories. Now add to it The Soprano's Last Supper, a parody of the award winning show including singing, dancing, Italian cuisine, comedy, and more. Guests can interact with characters Tony Baritone, Bobby Baclava, Dee Dee Diamond, and the rest of the "family" while helping sniff out the rat among them. |
PREVIOUS TOP HOT SPOT
Orleans
4500 W. Tropicana Avenue Las Vegas
When it comes to falling stars, Vegas is one huge meteoric crater. Anything goes in this land of lounge acts. From Peter Noone, the boyish 1960s love idol of Herman's Hermits to Rick Springfield, who hit his zenith in the 1980s (more recently than most entertainers in this town), taking the stage nightly as the hero in MGM's "EFX." But it's the Orleans who grabs them all at some point. The showroom contracts with Jerry Lewis several weeks a year and from then on it's pot luck: David Gates of Bread, Debbie Reynolds, and Eddie Money. If you didn't catch them when they were hot, now you can catch them when they're not and usually for under $35. |
