Studio 54
This town is hot on remakes, and Studio 54 is no exception. The real club may have closed its NYC doors more than a decade and a half ago, but this outpost captures the essence of the original. Steel staircases wind between floors that slither with babes and boys in skintight vinyl. The dance floors are padded for comfort as music alternates between disco and techno. Lights and smoke only add to the intoxicating atmosphere. Martinis are the order of the day here; they were the first in Las Vegas to come up with the martini menu. VIPs get their own bartender and rail from where they watch the action. The crowd trends older; perhaps they visited 54 in its New York hey day. For those who didn't, Studio 54 Las Vegas is a close imitation. Ladies get free passage where men pay $10 or $20 depending on the day.
