Tangerine

It’s said, in fashion today, that orange is the new black. If that’s true, then this new indoor/outdoor bar and nightclub is as stylish as it is outrageous. Stepping into this mosh pit of beautiful hip men and women is a visual sensory experience akin to squeezing into the fruit itself. Well, except for the burlesque dancers and pirate ships. The hotel used to be called Treasure Island with an obvious pirate theme, but as Las Vegas abandoned its experiment to appeal to families and returned to its roots as an adult playground, the hotel reinvented itself as simply TI. Tangerine is now where the Battle Bar used to be, a forgettable little drinkery that had one thing going for it…location, location, location. It had a patio. TI reinvented its pirate ship battle to make it a hot and sexy tease show, and recruited the creators of the popular Coyote Ugly and BiKiNiS clubs to reinvent this space. The result is a steamy interior with a sunken bar and a dance walkway complete with nightly burlesque shows, and an exterior wrapped around the front of the hotel, open to the Strip, and jutting into the middle of the Sirens of TI show in the lagoon. Carmen Electra opened the club with her own burlesque routine of Pussycat Dolls fame, but any of the regulars will heat up your evening as they shimmy from evening gowns down to just garter belts. The patio is open daily, and the nightclub is open Tuesday-Saturday, 9 pm to 4 AM, with four hourly shows beginning at 10:45 PM.
