McMullan's Irish Pub
4650 W. Tropicana Avenue (next to
the Orleans Hotel and Casino)
Not every cool place in Las Vegas involves
a hotel-casino and McMullan's is a fine example of taking a chunk
of dirt and making a little slice of Irish heaven that the Las Vegas
Weekly calls "The Best Irish Restaurant in The West."
The dark wood furniture and soft lighting create a very comfortable,
welcoming atmosphere and the ultimate authentic Irish Pub experience.
McMullan's loves whiskey drinkers, but they also serve up a pretty
solid menu as well. Beer-battered North Atlantic cod with fries
and coleslaw is a tough dish to beat. Irish nachos are another favorite
of locals and tourists alike - homemade potato chips covered with
cheddar cheese, bacon, tomatoes, chives and sour cream. Do yourself
a favor and get it with chicken. McMullen's is as authentic as it
gets. Well, maybe not the nachos, but they're so delicious you'll
let it slide. The food is delicious and the beer is cold. The staff
is friendly and quick on their toes. It's a perfect example of what
a neighborhood pub should be. The Irish Stew is awesome too. The lamb
is so tender and full of carrots and celery that are done perfectly.

Hotel in Las Vegas, McFadden's has come to be known as one of the nation's
premier bar/restaurants. McFadden's Las Vegas is the hottest new addition
to the family. The 11th establishment in the well-respected

15 50-inch high definition plasma screen TVs and a 100-foot long bar.

at the Rio. No bar does more to coax beer into its customers with promotions
like: "Come and Get Laid @ McFadden's Luau," "Pablo McFadden's,"

Fado Irish Pub
9470 S. Eastern Avenue, Henderson, NV
Originally located inside Green Valley
Ranch Resort and Casino, Fado Irish Pub is now part of an upscale shopping
and dining complex. Fadó, pronounced f'doe, is the Irish expression
meaning "long ago". The term was commonly used as the preface
of old Irish stories told by the Seanchaí (Shana-kee) or storyteller.
At Fadó they are telling the story of Ireland's rich and celebrated
pub culture. It is a culture of hospitable surroundings, good food and
good drink, and friendly conversation- what they call "craic".
The decor and friendly staff evoke images
of the great old pubs of Ireland whereas their style of operating -
music, food, beverages - connects more so with the contemporary pubs
and bars of modern Ireland.
Fadó is a perfect place to go where
you can break away from all the lights and sounds of Las Vegas, and
escape to Ireland. If Guinness is not your choice then there are plenty
of other Irish and European beers on tap so that you are sure to find
one that will satisfy your pallet. After throwing back a couple off
pints sit down and enjoy some of our great authentic Irish dishes as
well as a unique Irish fusion menu that combines Irish foods with different
flavors from around the world. Also check out their Fado Fantasy
League with Barclay's English Premier League Football.
Jack's Irish Pub
Palace Station Hotel and Casino,
2411 W. Sahara Avenue
Jack's is a bar that really has the
atmosphere of an authentic Irish drinking establishment, with the exception
of the cocktail waitresses sporting very short skirts, but who's complaining.
Its wooden floors, brick accents and 140-seat size make it a comfortable,
cozy place to enjoy a wide selection of Irish whiskeys, ciders, ales
and even cigars. Mixed drinks and pints of beer or cider are very affordably
priced.
Jack's has some unique touches you won't
find in the multitude of other Irish pubs in town. The booths have their
own small televisions, making it easy to watch sporting events such
as soccer -- if you're a true Irish sports fan. Jack's bartenders have
been known to sing and dance onstage with the band. And there's an Irish
jig contest every night in which the winner is rewarded with a free
pint of Guinness.
The pub's beer mixers include the Black
and Tan, Bass pale ale topped with Guinness; Half and Half, equal portions
of Guinness and Harp Lager; and Black and Black, Guinness and black
currant. Jack's, which opened Sept. 2001, also sells specialty drinks,
Irish whiskey, premium cigars and specialty coffees.
Palace Station executive chef John Guyer
planned the menu with the help of lead bartender Val Byrne, an Irishman
whose family owned a pub in County Mayo, Ireland.
Brendan's Irish Pub
Orleans Hotel and Casino
4500 W. Tropicana Avenue
Straight from the "Emerald Isle"
comes the inspiration for this authentic Irish Pub featuring the best
brews from across the sea! The history of Ireland may be riddled with
misery, frustration and human suffering, but Brendan's Irish Pub at
the Orleans is more fun than a pack of leprechauns at the end of the
rainbow.
Brendan's is a spacious bar and restaurant
with dark woods, fabric wall coverings, ornate light fixtures and plush
carpeting. A long bar meanders its way down a wall opposite a raised
stage. A high ceiling allows for the kind of noise level one would expect
in a rowdy Irish drinking establishment. Signs hang on the walls printed
with sage Irish wisdom: "There are no strangers here, only friends
who haven't met yet," and "Work is the curse of the drinking
classes." The bar features a good mix of draft beers, Irish bottle
beers, ales and whiskeys. Guinness and other imported beers are also
on tap. The kitchen at Brendan's features standard bar appetizer fare,
such as pizza and potato skins. In addition to the food and drink, on
the weekend, Brendan's offers an eclectic mix of live entertainment
featuring groups from Killian's Angels to Blues Zydeco with Pete Contino.
Quinn's Irish Pub
Green Valley Ranch Resort and Casino
2300 Paseo Verde Parkway, Henderson, NV
Quinn's brings an authentic slice of
Irish culture to Green Valley Ranch. Enjoy a vast selection of Irish
and European beers. When you want to meet with friends to share
in good conversation and good drink, Quinn's is your place. When
the hankering for a cold pint and some traditional Irish pub music strikes,
look no further than Darby O'Gill and the Little People, a mix of traditional
Irish music and modern rock. Darby's band doesn't take themselves too
seriously their humorous take on traditional music is a well rounded
mix of hilarity, rock, and traditional instruments and melodies.
Hennessey's Tavern
425 Fremont Street

of downtown Fremont, offers food and drink along with gaming and live
music every week. On their menu, try the Irish nachos, potato planks
topped with cheese, bacon bits, green onions and sour cream. Their signature
dipping sauces include ranch, spicy BBQ or fire ranch.
