Westward Ho
In Las Vegas where a $10 cocktail hardly raises an eyebrow anymore, the penny-pinchers know to saddle up to the Westward Ho. If it weren't for the video poker machines and Elvis impersonators, the place would feel like a time warp, with offerings like 5-cent coffee (.25 for the flavored stuff) nicely accompanied by 50-cent donuts or margaritas in rainbow colored glasses, 16-ounces for 95-cents. Sure, you've got to negotiate through an army of nickel-toting gray hairs shuffling through the aisles and the ravenous line at the $1 hot dog stand. But the line to margaritaville moves fast and you can have your choice of strawberry, banana, lemon lime, pina colada or Blue Hawaii flavors. Once you've got your tequila fix in hand get the hell out of Dodge and head next door to the Stardust for their $13.99 steak and lobster buffet. Westward Ho, 2900 Las Vegas Blvd., 702-731-2900.
