After Last Call

What To Do After Last Call In Vegas.

As the sun sets across the desert, the once familiar landscape takes on a different light. And, as evening becomes after hours in Vegas, the landscape changes once again. During after hours, celebrities rub elbows with lounge singers, exotic dancers, paid escorts and other hoi polloi on the dance floors along the Strip. The clubs might be unique in concept and appearance, but the goal remains the same – extend that good-time feeling for as long as you can. Here are our favorite hot picks for after-hours fun in Sin City.

The long standing afterhours champion for over 10 years and going is Victor Drai’s world famouse Drai’s. Currently housed in Bally’s while it’s old home The Barberry, er Bills Gamblin Hall goes under renovation. Many a night has ended at this Vegas main stay.

Artisan Afterhours

One of the hottest afterhours in the city today is the Artisan Afterhours. This is a who’s who afterhours spot of that Las Vegas service industry. Beats here are pumping well after sunrise. If it’s your birthday month, they give you a nice present of a complimentary bottle. Too tired to go home, then just crash in one of their artist themed rooms.

Rumor Bar & Lounge

Rumor’s afterhours is the newest party on the block. It’s space aged feel will keep you revved and going well into the AM. Just a block off the strip right by The Hard Rock, this after hours venue is close to the beaten path, afterwards grab a room or if it’s take a cab across the street to Rehab.

The Peppermill’s Fireside Lounge

Many afterhours club goers will find them selves hungry AND wanting another drink. The best spot for this is by no doubt the Fireside Lounge in The Peppermill. This spot has been here for a VERY LONG time Our favorites here are the bloody marys and chicken wings. This is by far a place for your 4th meal. (…and 10th drink, but who’s counting?)

Sapphire’s Karaoke Room

Don’t want to go home and feeling like a rock star? Then head over to Sapphire Gentleman’s Club and take part in a little-known karaoke party. This state of the art karaoke room has played host to many a rappers late night party. You never know who’ll you’ll end up jiving with at this spot.

Havana Club Cigar Lounge

havana-clubHavana Club Cigar Lounge opened its doors in 2009 to cigar enthusiasts across the Vegas Valley and quickly became a locals hot spot. With smoke shops popping up on every corner the owners of the Havana Club Cigar Lounge knew they needed more than a good size humidor. Havana Club is raising the bar for all smoke shop owners in Las Vegas by providing its guests oversized leather chairs and couches, plasma screen HDTV’s for watching sporting events and news, complimentary wireless internet access and refreshments served by the Lounge Host. Havana Club Cigar Lounge Hosts are even trained to track their patron’s cigar preferences, which will take the guess work out of their guest’s next visit to the lounge.  Their spacious walk-in humidor consists of some of the most sought after brands in the industry and they worked closely with manufactures in order to provide the best selection possible. Some of the brands in their humidor include: Romeo Y Julieta, Montecristo, Oliva, Macanudo, Partagas, Cohiba, Rocky Patel, CAO, NUB, St Luis Rey, H Upmann, Padron, A. Fuente, Ashton, Diamond Crown, Gurkha, La Gloria Cubana, Camacho San Crystobal, Arganese, Gispert, La Aurora, Don Diego, Punch and many more.

Don Pablo’s

shop_donpablos_photoYou can get Cuban cigars in Las Vegas. Cuban-made cigars, that is. Actually, it’s cigars made by Cubans, or in many cases, Dominican (when a Cuban can’t be found). The tobacco is grown from seeds smuggled out of Cuba in the early 1960s, or so say the guys that run Don Pablo Cigar Co. They have a veritable factory in there, rolling cigars in trusted traditions, handed down from generations of cigar rollers. The aromas alone make the trip worthwhile. Some of the leaves are cured in liqueurs and cognacs, while the plain Jane, Cuban-rolled variety sell for $2.50 a stogie. Pipe smokers welcomed here. So are the kids, who can take the 2-cent tour of the place and watch 15 Cubans do their thing.

Best Place To Shop For Shoes

The year was 1999, and founder Nick Swinmurn was walking around a mall in San Francisco, looking for a pair of shoes. One store had the right style, but not the right color. Another store had the right color, but not the right size. Nick spent the next hour in the mall, walking from store to store, and finally went home empty-handed and frustrated. The original idea was to create a web site that offered the absolute best selection in shoes in terms of brands, styles, colors, sizes, and widths. Over the past 9 years, the brand and our aspirations have evolved, and in addition to offering the best selection, we now want to be the company that provides the absolute best service online — not just in shoes, but in any category. currently stocks more than 3 million shoes, handbags, clothing items and accessories from over 1,136 brands.  The retail outlets have closed courtesy of the recession, but if you call far enough ahead in advance, you can actually get a tour of the headquarters.

Jimmy Choo

It’s Vegas, baby, and here they don’t shop for shoes, they shop for Choo’s. Said to be among the most flattering footwear in the world, Choo is the place in Vegas for high fashion heels. The stuff of every girl’s addiction, designer Sandra Choi (mastermind behind the Choo) knows how to do a thing or two with an ankle. Sure, a couple of pairs of Choo’s will cost you, but aren’t your feet worth it? So take a chip off the green felt table and buy a treat to show off your tootsies.
